Kids Aerial & Circus Fun Workshops

Join us for a wonderful morning of Circus and Aerial Activities. If your kids are climbing the walls, let them come climb Aerial Silks with us instead. Our workshops are all about having fun, and trying new things. They are perfect for beginners with no experience, and for our HAPY students to bring their friends along to enjoy the fun of Aerial Arts, Acrobatics and Circus together.
Our workshops are for ages 5yo-17yo, we usually split into 2 different age groups 5-9yo and 10-17yo so that we can encourage students with appropriate skills.
Half Day Workshops:
9am to 12pm
Ages 5-17yo

Full Day Workshops:
9am-3pm
Ages 6-17yo

Small groups for maximum aerial fun!
We keep our class sizes small and that means lots of time up in the air with personalised attention! Our ratios are 6-8 students per teacher. All our teachers have their Blue Card Working with Children checks. We find this is very nurturing for young people who can otherwise be overwhelmed in large group activities.
Suitable for all levels - particularly beginners!
No previous experience is necessary, this workshop is appropriate for beginners. If your child already has some Aerial experience we will do our best to cater to their needs, our focus of these workshops is having fun, playing games, and enjoying movement.
Accessibility
Our workshops are held both on the ground floor and in our upstairs room. If your child has accessibility requirements, please let us know so that we can make adjustments to accomodate them. You can see more details about access to HAPY Studio here
What to bring
BYO Food for snacks and lunch! Our participants use up a lot of energy, and we refuel regularly throughout the workshop to keep energy levels high.
What to Wear
We recommend wearing long leggings or pants that cover the knees to ensure your child is comfortable and has a layer of protection when on the apparatus.

You will need to book and pay for each child in individually. Please select the “Booked For” dropdown to add your child's name.
Waitlist - If the class is full, please jump on the waitlist, we will let you know if a spot opens up due to changes, or extra teachers being added to the day.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made 24 hours prior to booking will have credit applied onto your HAPY Account. No credits for Late cancels or no shows. No refunds.
Aerial Skills Accelerator
For the more experienced Aerialists and current HAPY Members aged 8-18yo
Level up your Aerial skills this holidays with our Aerial Skill Building Workshops. Designed for you to continue to progress your Aerial Skills these days are filled with Aerial. We will spend approx 1hr each on the following activities throughout the 6hr workshops:
Aerial Silks
Aerial Hoop
Acrobatics
Lunch Break
Trapeze
Aerial Hammock
Our workshops are available for the following levels:
Level 2/3 [Beginner to Intermediate] : Wed 7/1, 14/1, 21/1
Level 3/4/5 [Intermediate to Advanced]: Thu 8/1, 15/1, 22/1
Our Level 1 students are encouraged to come to our Aerial & Circus Workshops that focus on Level 1 skill progressions amongst our fun activities.
Each student either has/will receive a skills progress sheet that allows them to track their individual skills and next areas of focus. It is a fantastic way to level up over the holidays whilst adding more skills across more apparatus (you’ll be amazed at how many of your skills and strengths transfer across all the the different apparatus!).
We welcome young aerialists from other studios to join in our programs. Here is a list of pre-requisites to join in our program:
Level 2/3 Pre-requisites
Be able to do footlocks on Aerial Silks
Be able to invert without a knot on Aerial Silks
Be able to tuck or straddle entry onto Aerial Hoop/Trapeze
Be able to sit, crouch and hang by both knees on Aerial Hoop/Trapeze/Aerial Hammock
Be able to stand, pike, lean back split, on Aerial Hoop/Trapeze/Aerial Hammock
As long as you have the majority of these skills we can cross train you in other apparatus
Level 3/4/5 Pre-requisites
Be able to do a Star Drop and T-flip (360 drop/Angel drop) on Aerial Silks
Be able to knee hang on top bar on Aerial Hoop
Be able to invert in the ropes on Trapeze
Be able to invert in the posts on Aerial Hammock
As long as you have the majority of these skills we can cross train you in other apparatus
Workshop Cost
$100 for 6 hours 9am-3pm
Aerial Performance Intensive - 3 Days
If 2026 is your performance year, then this is the intensive to kick start it!
Create an Aerial Act for a performance, show, or competition.
Develop your unique aerial act, on your choice of apparatus, combining your own aerial-style, with creative choreography and transitions, performance tips & techniques.
Showcase the foundations of your performance to friends and family on the final day.
Receive a video of your performance which can be used for auditions & show reels
Plus take away training plan to polish your performance ready for the stage over the coming months.
They will also be given the chance to perform in front of an audience on HAPY Show Day in April 2026.
Your Performance Coach is Ella Garlinge, 2025 La Folie National Advanced Aerial Silks Runner Up, 2025 Bend The Air Advanced SilkFinalist, 2025 Aerial Eclipse Creative Choreography Award, with 10 years of Aerial Silks experience, Ella has a passion for using musicality to bring your transitions and act to life.
Course runs Jan 21-23, 9am-3pm
Cost is $300 (50% Deposit payable upon booking, Remaining 50% auto-deducted 14th Jan)

Students must be of an Intermediate(L3+) skill level in the apparatus of their choice
